Day 1: Middle Atlas Marvels and Desert Magic - Fez to Merzouga
Our 3-day desert journey from Fes to Marrakech begins at 8:00 AM. We will drive towards Ifrane and Azrou, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains. A stop at the cedar forests will allow you to observe the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Continuing our journey, we reach Midelt after crossing the Tizi N’talghamt pass. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and glimpses of desert landscapes as we approach Errachidia. From there, we traverse through the picturesque Ziz Valley before arriving at Erfoud, Rissani, and finally Merzouga. In Merzouga, you'll leave your luggage in a hotel before embarking on a camel ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our camp nestled amidst North Africa's tallest sand dunes. Here, you'll enjoy dinner and spend an unforgettable night under the starry desert sky.
Day 2: Sunrise Splendor and Gorge Exploration - Merzouga to Dades Valley
Start your second day by rising early to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of a sunrise over the sand dunes. Afterward, savor a delicious breakfast before embarking on a camel ride back to your hotel in Merzouga. From there, our journey continues towards Tinghir, where we will explore the majestic Todra Gorges. Finally, we will arrive at Dades Valley, where you can look forward to a delightful dinner and comfortable accommodation for our second night.
Day 3: Roses, Kasbahs, and Mountain Passes - Dades Valley to Marrakech
After enjoying a delicious breakfast on the third day, we will bid farewell to Dades Valley and make our way towards Kelaat Mgouna, renowned for its vibrant "Roses Festival." Continuing our journey, we will pass through Skoura village before reaching Ouarzazate, often hailed as the Hollywood of Africa. Here, you can indulge in a delightful lunch at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an expansive fortress recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. As we proceed towards Marrakech, we will traverse the magnificent Tizi n’Tichka pass that winds through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Along this scenic route, we'll pause at various points to soak in picturesque views and visit an Argan oil cooperative.
